Terribly Beautiful 1.1

The second piece in the Terribly Beautiful by Fiona Parkinson comprises a butterfly with the wings cut into a web and spider in the corner of the frame. Positioning beauty and fear together, it challenges the viewer to reconsider their natural reactions. The piece features the stunning Giant Blue Morpho (Didius) with the spider crawling across the web and is beautifully composed and framed.

Terribly Beautiful 1.1 is the second in a series of pieces being released in 2021, future releases will be larger pieces involving multiple butterflies.

Each edition is made by Fiona and is unique due to the beautiful natural variation in the butterflies being used. Spider specimen may vary due to availability.

All specimens are exquisitely preserved, treated and crafted by Fiona to deliver a stunning artwork guaranteed to add beauty and intrigue to any collection.
